What does it take to flawlessly execute six distinct wedding events, coordinate an army of 18 separate vendors, and entertain 300 guests over three days—all without leaving a single venue? It takes military-level precision, an incredible eye for design, and, most importantly, a Dream Team.
This past March, the historic Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., was transformed into a multicultural wedding wonderland for Veronica and Nishanth. Their spectacular D.C. fusion wedding was a masterclass in blending cultures, managing massive logistics, and celebrating a love story that started in the most modern of ways. Here is an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their epic wedding weekend and the vendor team that made it happen.
The Story: A 4-Hour Screen Test and a City of Christmas Trees
Before there were 300 guests and elaborate floral mandaps, there was just Hinge, a pandemic, and a healthy dose of caution.
In November 2020, Veronica and Nishanth matched online. Using the pandemic as the perfect excuse to ensure he wasn't "a weirdo," Veronica suggested a video call before meeting in person. That quick vibe-check turned into a four-hour marathon conversation. She knew right away he was something special.
Their first official date took place on December 19, 2020, at the Downtown Holiday Market in Chinatown. It was the dead of winter, and they were masked and freezing, but neither wanted the date to end. They ended up walking across the entire city for another four hours, hunting down every Christmas tree they could find—from City Center to the White House and the Capitol building. Veronica vividly remembers telling her friends later that night just how easy he was to talk to.

The "Tum Hi Ho" (You Are The One) Moments
For Nishanth, the realization hit early on. During their first few months together, he was splitting his time between Florida and D.C. Returning to Washington after weeks apart, he saw Veronica and had an instant epiphany. "I knew that I never wanted to be away from her and that she was the person for me," he recalls.
For Veronica, it wasn't a single lightning bolt, but a collection of warm, undeniable truths. "The way he fit in with my family so easily was so memorable to me," she explains. "He was so patient and wanted to know everything about me. Everything was just so easy."

3 Days, 6 Events, 1 Historic Venue: The Omni Shoreham Takeover
When it came time to plan their multicultural wedding in Washington D.C., Veronica and Nishanth needed a venue that could act as a chameleon. Hosting a true fusion wedding means honoring multiple traditions without exhausting your guests with constant travel. The Omni Shoreham Hotel proved to be the perfect anchor for their 300 guests.
Just look at the marathon itinerary their vendor team executed from March 26 to March 28, 2026:
Thursday, March 26: The weekend kicked off with a vibrant, joy-filled Haldi ceremony, quickly followed by a chic Welcome Party to greet out-of-town guests arriving in the capital.
Friday, March 27: The morning was dedicated to a 7AM Baraat followed by a breathtaking, traditional Telugu Hindu Wedding. By evening, the another hotel ballroom was completely designed for a high-energy, colorful Sangeet filled with choreographed dances and incredible food.
Saturday, March 28: The couple exchanged vows again in a beautiful, heartfelt Non-Denominational Wedding ceremony, culminating in a spectacular Grand Reception to close out the weekend.

Vendor Spotlight: Orchestrating the 18-Piece Symphony
You do not successfully host six events in 72 hours by accident. It requires a highly vetted, perfectly synchronized team. Veronica and Nishanth’s celebration utilized 18 separate vendors.
Think about the sheer scale of logistics:
The Planners & Coordinators: Managing timelines down to the minute, ensuring the bride had enough time for six distinct hair, makeup, and wardrobe changes.
The Decorators & Florists: Designing completely different aesthetics for a bright Haldi, a traditional Telugu Mandap, a vibrant Sangeet, a romantic Western ceremony aisle, and a luxurious Reception hall—all while dealing with strict hotel flip-times.
The Caterers: Creating diverse menus that satisfied 300 guests across multiple days, authentically representing both South Asian and Western palates.
The Photo & Video Team: Working 14-hour days to capture the vivid colors of the Indian ceremonies and the classic elegance of the Western vows, ensuring not a single tear or dance move was missed.

To pull off a South Asian fusion wedding of this magnitude, the vendors cannot just work for the couple; they must work with each other. The DJ has to sync with the Dhol player; the caterer has to coordinate with the decorator's table setups; the hair and makeup artists have to keep the photographer's timeline intact.
Veronica and Nishanth’s weekend was a testament to what happens when you trust a professional, experienced vendor team. They didn't just throw a party; they built a temporary, beautiful world inside the Omni Shoreham where two cultures, two families, and two perfectly matched people became one.
